Jerry Sterken - Drums / Percussion

I've been playing drums for almost 47 years (I started when I was 10). I've played in concert bands, symphonies, marching bands, drum corps, polka, swing, country, rock and variety bands during my lifetime. I've worked as a percussionist with the Holton-Elkhorn Band and the Beloit-Janesville Symphony . I'm a 27 year member and Past-President of the Fort Atkinson City Band. I was the drummer for the Cannonball Express Band for over 20 years. My son Michael and I were co-leaders of the Speed Kings Blues Band. I worked as the Thursday Night Jam Band drummer at the Silver Moon Blues Club in Darien, WI for 4 years. I try to freelance with area bands whenever the opportunity arises. I give drum lessons and also dabble in the buying and selling of vintage drum gear.

On my personal side, I've been married to my beautiful wife Sandi for almost 38 years and have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I'm recently retired from We-Energies (Wisconsin Electric Power Company) where I spent 37 years in Electric Operations Management. I'm presently associated with Briggs and Stratton Power Products in Jefferson, WI.
